Estonian biggest business idea competition calls for international students

In case you are an international student in Estonia, then perhaps you would consider launching your own startup? Well, here is an opportunity for you. Ajujaht is beginning its 10th anniversary season, which is the most-known business idea competition in Estonia. Every year, over three hundred teams compete with their idea at this competition. The best teams will divide a prize pot of 60 000€.

The deadline for submitting your idea is October 23. In case you do not have a team yet, then you may easily team-up later and a one-man-team constitutes as a team as well. The first fallout round ends in the beginning of November, when the Top100 teams will be chosen. After that, the Top100 teams may pitch their idea in front of an expert commission, which consists of established startup entrepreneurs, investors and experts. The Top30 will be chosen after the pitch in front of the commission. These teams access the development programme of Ajujaht consisting of a two-month traineeship with mentorship. In april, the competition will continue on TV-screen as Ajujaht is broadcasted by Estonian National Television, which is the most popular TV-channel in Estonia. So the Top7 teams will compete in front of the Estonian public.

In case you would like to find out more, then the organizers of Ajujaht together with Jaan Tallinn (cofounder of Kazaa and Skype) would like you tell you more at “Ajujaht seminar "Idea, Capital, Execution. Idea? Vol 2”.

See you at Tallinn University of Technology on September 20!
