Coming to Estonia...
I wanted to experience something new, something what would enrich my life. Therefore I started to look for degree programmes abroad and among Finland, Sweden or Denmark was even a little country called Estonia. Technology Governance at TTÜ met all my expectations. Combination of economy and politics was more than exciting and considering the professors at this programme there wasn’t better choice anywhere else in Europe.

Before coming here...
General knowledge about Estonia in Czech Republic isn’t really good. And I wasn’t any exception. But when I realized that I might come for my master studies I found out some information and even came in march 2010 to see the city. And because of that I knew already before I came here that Tallinn is beautiful, Estonian language interesting and girls very nice.

Student life in Estonia...
Student life in Czech Republic and Estonia is completely different in almost all the aspects. My master program I study here is made in a way that even Estonians who work can attend the classes. Therefore we have lessons in the evening on the basis of intensive courses. Technology Governance program is based more on reading and self studying from materials professors give you before every class.

Studying in Estonia...
I will have international degree in English language, knowledge based on lectures with internationally recognized lecturers and I will have new life experience which might help me to deal with problems in the future.

The best things for me...
I met great people, new friends and had great time. At the same time I could study something I really enjoyed and what I considered as eternal truth before is thanks to new ideas given to me by the professors questioned. We can say that studies here made me think about problems and not to just simply learn by heart something from textbook.

I would tell other students in my home country...
There is nothing to be afraid of. Economics faculty building is new and well equipped, professors mostly international with perfect English and Estonia is beautiful.

My degree programme is...
Different, converting, interesting, enriching, special, developmental, intensive, wide, transforming, unique.

While being away from my home country, I miss the most...
Czech food and cheap Czech beer.

Studying abroad is...
Study abroad is the biggest step towards independence. You live abroad in a new country, meet new people, new culture, new problems and new solutions. And at the same time you use foreign languages so you are able to communicate in them without any problem. Those are the main advantages you get when you study abroad.

My future...
I’d like to see as much as I can and enjoy my time wherever it is possible. As my programme (Technology Governance) is based on developmental economy, innovation and politics, I would like to work in this field one day. Therefore I would like to get an internship at UNDP. And in the far away future…who knows?

The last thing I want to say...
