Student Days in Tartu have begun!
Friday, April 27
The biannual Tartu Student Days, a tradition that can be traced back to the early 1960s, have started and will offer around 140 events from April 25 until May 1.
The festival's project manager, Kaisa Lutter, said that all traditional events, held in previous years, are incorporated in the program this year as well. This includes, for instance, the popular boat rally on the river Emajõgi and the self-made flying contraption competition Karsumm.

Students and citizens will also be treated to the Night Dance Festival in downtown Tartu tomorrow, on April 28.
The central message of the week-long undertaking is cooperation. “The festival is born from the cooperation between students and various organizations. By doing things together we want to create stronger links between the students in Tartu,” Lutter said.
The main organizer of the week-long festival is the University of Tartu Culture Club, which this year is celebrating its 25th birthday.
