Latin America Spring Seminar and Cultural Day in Tartu – 17 May
Dear students of Latin America countries in Estonia and cooperation partners,
We are delighted to invite you all, students of Latin American countries for a spring seminar and cultural program to Tartu on Saturday, 17th of May. This special event is dedicated to students from Latin American countries currently studying in Estonia.
The event is organised by the Study in Estonia programme (Estonian Education and Youth Board), in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia.
Among our honoured guests and speakers are:
- Ms Marin Mõttus, Estonian Ambassador at Large to Peru, Chile, and Colombia (based in Tallinn)
- Mr Peep Jahilo, Ambassador at Large for Education
The seminar will provide a space to discuss and share experiences about:
- Your academic journey to Estonia - from decision making process to arrival
- Studying, working, and living in Estonia
- Future plans and cooperation opportunities
Our cultural programme is dedicated to 500 years of Estonian book and written language and 17th of May - Museum Night.
In the evening, all participants have an option to enjoy the Museum Night and visit Estonian National Museum.
Preliminary Programme – Saturday, 17 May
- 10:00 – Departure by bus from Tallinn to Tartu
- 12:30 – Arrival in Tartu, welcome coffee and snacks
- 13:00–16:00 – Seminar (venue to be confirmed)
- 16:00–18:00 – Lunch and free time
- 18:00 – Cultural activities as part of Museum Night in Tartu
- 21:00 – Return by bus from Tartu to Tallinn
